Can You Really Become the Bank?

By Emma on July 27, 2011 No Comments

About 2 years ago, I met my friends Jorge Bueno and MaryAnne Morcos.  They were introduced to me by a friend I absolutely trust, Jerry Chen and a year later, we have become really great friends and peers and they even invited my husband and I at the recent Grammy Awards Ceremony as their special guest!

Gary, MaryAnne, Emma and Jorge At the 2011 Grammy Awards

When I met Jorge and MaryAnne in Dec. 2009 at an event called “Business Codex – How to Get The Money To Fund Your Business”, I wasn’t sure what to make of their event as it was different from anything I’ve been exposed to when it comes to building credit.

What made them really unique is that they truly are passionate about helping you build a solid “Mental Wealth Foundation” before, they give you their incredible blueprint on how you can set up your corporation and prepare yourself and your corporation to ethically and effectively build your corporate credit.

As a result of their Mentorship, I was able to establish a corporation, and get funding for our corporation.  I was able to implement his key strategies where the banks literally offering us money!  Jorge also taught me something so simple as the “Honor and Dishonor Code” that I implemented just one of the principles and it enabled me to save over $19,000!

Jorge and MaryAnne are having their Business Codex LIVE Event this coming August 6 and 7 at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport.  I will be there to raise my bar as well as to host a power MeetUp Group on Saturday evening.

I promised you that I was going to let you know of V.I.P. Events as they come and here is one event you wouldn’t want to miss.  The best part is because of my unique relationship with Jorge and MaryAnne, I have a special VIP Code I’d like to share with the first 10 people who respond to this.  The code is:

emmavip

Here’s what you’ll need to do.

1) Click here to go to Business Codex Live Event Page.

2) Choose the ticket for $497.00 and use the drop down arrow and choose

how many tickets you need.

3) Below the ticket options is a link for Discount Code.  Enter emmavip on the box and then click on “Apply Discount Code”.  You will see your ticket price go down to $97.  That’s how much you’ll pay, NOT $497.

Don’t take my word for it… check out their page for some incredible success stories:

Business Codex Live Event.

I look forward to seeing you there!  Jorge will tell you secrets strategies the banks and the government won’t tell you so come, learn and implement!

So can you really become the bank? I don’t know… all I know is some of Jorge’s students have already become their own banks and I know the possibilities are there for you and I too! Come join us!

Until We Connect…

My Mother… My First Mentor

By Emma on May 3, 2011 4 Comments

It’s May 3, 2011 – a day that has always been very special to me.

In the small town of Sta. Elena, Marikina City in the Philippines where I grew up, this day is significant as this is when we celebrate our town’s “Fiesta”.  A Sta. Elena fiesta is like “Halloween” where you can basically go from house to house and you will be served yummy home cooked meals and delicacies.

I remember growing up, having May 3 as one of my most favorite and much awaited day, just like Christmas and my birthday.  Why?

It’s because May 3 is also my Mom Elena Yambao’s birthday!

My Mom was a renegade.  As the youngest of 8 children whose parents were fatally injured with an accidental American bomb during World War 2, she was lovingly raised by her sister Emilia Santos de Guzman.  She was only 12 years old when their parents passed away and essentially grew up with no parents.

She was a very talented and smart young lady and beautiful too! I heard she received love letters from a few admirers and some of them used to serenade her with romantic ballads.

Though very shy and refined, she went through college and even finished 2 degrees… one in Accounting and one in Education.  She worked at a very young age and had the passion for things that are beautiful, especially jewelry, coins and music. She loves to play the piano and is quite good! She was happy being single and she thought she was never going to get married until she met my Dad.

Interestingly enough, when they say “The fruit never falls far from the tree…” it’s absolutely true!

Of their 4 children, family friends say I am the one that looks just like her.  In fact, I catch myself sounding like her most of the time.

My Mom is my very first Mentor as I believe that most Moms are,  The lessons she has taught me now enables me to help others and truthfully has become the basis of what I teach as The Relational Marketer.

So, here are the Top 10 Lessons I Have Learned From My Mother… My First Mentor:

1) Read Dale Carnegie’s “How To Win Friends and Influence People” – this should be your guidebook in life as first impression is the last thing!
2) Remember people’s names and say it to them… you’ll be more appreciated.
3) Read… read… read!
4) Be happy just by being with yourself – find joy in the quietness of just spending time with you.
5) Be thoughtful and remember people’s birthdays and those who matter to them – even the birthdays of their cats and dogs! (My sister Ellen still does this masterfully ;)
6) Trust people first… find good in those you meet until they prove you wrong.
7) Work is good but family comes first.
8) Strengthen your FAITH in God.
9) Learn Crossword Puzzles and you’ll always have a healthy brain.
10) Appreciate beauty in art, music and finer things in life.

So, for her birthday, I want to thank her for everything she has done for us and for what she continues to do for us.  Amazingly at 79 years old, she discovered Facebook and is constantly engaging using her iPod Touch… I am so proud of her! Now she’s out there encouraging family and friends and educating the youth of her beloved city on its rich heritage.

She doesn’t know I am writing this blog for her but soon enough, she’ll find out as my posts reflect on her Feed so go to her Facebook Page and greet her a “Happy Birthday”!  Click on www.Facebook.com/elenayambao – tell her you’re my friend and she’ll friend you too!

To honor her, if there is anything I have inspired you with or help you move forward with, please let her know that too, so she’ll realize that her teachings have been paid forward and are making a difference in other people’s lives.

How about you? Who is your first Mentor and what memorable things have you learned from them?

On this note, I also want to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day, if you’re a Mom and I encourage you to celebrate and plan something nice this Mother’s Day Weekend to commemorate the special Moms in your life!

Oh and BTW, we have some amazing connections happening on our The Relational Marketers Group on Facebook… Come join us!

No More Excuses… SoundCloud!

By Emma on April 5, 2011 No Comments

Emma Tiebens Introduces SoundCloud.com by EmmaTiebens

Real quick…

I am sure if you’ve been an online marketer for the past year or so, you already know the importance of video marketing. I am truly passionate about teaching my clients how to utilize video marketing to tie their marketing efforts together!

However… I totally understand that sometimes, we’re not too comfortable with video and it takes quite a while to get used to video… I totally empathize with you as I too have been frightened with video for as long as I can remember until I made a decision to go for it because I know that my life’s message will impact a lot of people!

On January 27, 2009, I created and posted my first video on YouTube… now I have hundreds of them online!

So, today I thought of you and this new service that I just found more about…

SoundCloud.com – it’s pretty amazing as you’re able to share it via email and on other networking sites…

So there you go… no more excuses! When you don’t feel like appearing on video but have a message you want to share, you can use your iPhone or other smart phone, or even your computer’s built-in microphone and upload them on SoundCloud.com and share it with the world!

After all, to become a true Relational Marketer, your prospects have to know, like and trust you… Audio and video are two incredible ways for them to get a feel for your heart…

I will be launching “Random Thoughts By The Relational Marketer” and guess what? Most of my posts will be via SoundCloud.com.

So go ahead, try it and let me know how it works out for you! Better yet, teach us more features that we probably haven’t discovered…

Until next time…

Cheering You On To Your Success!

Emma ;)

Are You A Survivalist or a “Prepper”?

By Emma on March 18, 2011 3 Comments

In the past 5 months, my good friend Jorge Bueno has been talking about and introducing his students, including myself – to Codex Defensive Training, Survival Training, Meta-Leadership, wild food preparation, etc.  I find the timing of my “exposure” to this preparedness mentality quite ironic yet I welcome this with wide-open arms!

Tiebens Family with Christopher Nyerges of "Wildnerness Ways"

Honestly, prior to that, I had no idea that there are already huge organizations whose main goal is to prepare people in the event of disasters. I guess you can say I have been “sleeping under a rock”.  I guess I have been on denial that such things would happen.  I have always believed that “fear and faith” could not co-exist.

Ironically, it was also in the last 4 months when I have witnessed more and more disasters and threats happening not just in remote areas of the world but right here at home in the US. Here’s a video that my friends shared with me that also got me thinking seriously about preparedness:

I don’t watch the news often as I find that my trusted relationships online not only provide me with reliable information but also the steps I should take to prepare for the inevitable.  I am speaking mentally, physically and yes, spiritually.

If you’ve been reading my blog for some time now, you know I love to write but this post seemed a bit challenging for me because I have so many thoughts I want to share.

SURVIVALIST VS. “PREPPER”

They are actually synonymous.  As our good friends from www.DirtTime.com defines them;

“Being a survivalist (or the more politically correct term, “prepper”) isn’t just about the “end of the world as we know it.”  It’s about being prepared materially, physically, and mentally for whatever life has to offer.  Thus, I won’t feel bad at all if the “end” doesn’t happen in my lifetime because that’s not what being a survivalist is about.  What it is about is peace of mind.  It’s knowing that help for yourself, your family or your neighbors is as close as your pantry, your backpack, the small pouch on your belt or what you carry in your pockets and the knowledge and skills you‘ve gained through study and practice.” by Steve Gregersen www.DirtTime.com

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PREPAREDNESS

You’re probably in the advance stage of Disaster Preparedness and that’s awesome! However, if you’re a “newbie” like I am here’s what I’m proactively doing to prepare my family, my clients and my friends who might need some guidance. A great resource is www.MajorSurplus.com in Gardena, CA as that’s where we get most of our supplies:

1) I connect and stay in touch with people who proactively seek and share information like Christopher Nyerges, Jorge Bueno and Dude McLean.

2) Attend Survival Preparedness classes like the one with Christopher Nyerges.

3) Stock up on water… lots and lots of it!

4) Create a family “Bug Out Bag” or a Preparedness Kit.

5) Start planting vegetables and fruit in our backyard (planters work great for small backyards)

6) Learn basic defense – like the one offered at Codex Defense.

7) Join organizations like the Center of Disease Control’s Meta-Leadership Summit, C.E.R.T.,  and volunteer at our local Red Cross.

8) Spread the word out using Social Media for relevant and trustworthy information.

9) Have a family plan on where we will be meeting or a family member we will be contacting in the event this event happens when we’re all separated.

10) Investing in solar powered gadgets – flashlights, radios, ovens, stoves.

Jorge Bueno and Emma Tiebens at Meta-Leadership Summit L.A.

SPIRITUAL PREPAREDNESS

I know… I know… you might be thinking, “Why would I include spirituality into something  rather physical?”

It’s because that what leaders do.  Leaders share their vision and their convictions so the people who choose to follow and learn from them might be enlightened too.  I am not about instilling fear as I truly choose to believe that I am an agent of HOPE.

Spiritually, it is time for us to be a Survivalist… a “Prepper”… Again, being a Survivalist:”isn’t just about the “end of the world as we know it.”  It’s about being prepared materially, physically, and mentally for whatever life has to offer.” To this I am adding “spiritually”.

Many of us have been burned by the idea that “Judgment day is coming!” or “Repent for the end is near…”  That idea has become as ludicrous as Big Foot or the Lochness Monster. Our hearts have been totally calloused and we cringe from hearing those words uttered or brought up.

I may not be a seasoned theologian nor a Bible scholar but all I know is that God’s calling in my life in the marketplace is rather strong and I want to be able to use the influence He continues to give me to reach people and remind them that they too are called for a purpose and that purpose comes with sacrifice – whether that involves being open for judgment and ridicule.

Obedience is not all rosy and non-accountable.  I remember not wanting to commit to following God at one point in my life because doing so could have meant commitment to reading the word and sharing not only His goodness and love but also his disappointment and discipline.

My life changed drastically when I met Dani Johnson 3 years ago.  She picked my husband and I out from an audience of over 500, asked us to come up on the stage and she personally spoke and prophesied over my spirit and someday, I will share the mp3 of that prophesy.  You may or may not believe in that but if you have questions on that, I am happy to share them with you.

Emma Tiebens at Dani Johnson First Steps To Success

Do you feel it’s necessary for you to prepare spiritually?  I absolutely believe so.

Let me clarify… this is not a post to challenge your beliefs.  It’s not about you-must-believe-in-God-or-else… This is not a scare tactic…  I am simply sharing my personal belief…

Please make no mistake… Was the idea of eternity the reason I chose to love and obey God? Absolutely NOT!  I chose to love Him because He loved me first.  The miracles he has done in my life has no measure! The joy, peace and power that comes from having Him in my life is inexplicable.  That’s what I am trying to share with you.

I cannot imagine life without Him and part of honoring Him, I am committed is to share His love to the people He sent my way and share with them about Spiritual Preparedness.  How can you prepare Spiritually?  This is how my family prepares:

1) Read his Word – I made a commitment to re-read the Bible cover to cover.

2) Meditate on His word

3) Spend time with Him in prayer… with no assigned time of prayer but unceasingly throughout the day.

4) Encourage others who are fearful and confused.

5) Allow Him in your heart and ask Him to direct your path.

6) Pray for an extra heap of faith and wisdom.

7) Intercede and pray for others.

8) Be generous in giving of your time and resources.

9) Reach out to leaders I can trust.

10) Seek forgiveness for self and others.

So, are you physically and spiritually prepared?  If you feel more comfortable speaking with me in private, you can send me a private message on Facebook or send us an email via our Contact Us page and I would love to help you – As the old saying goes…

“it’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.”

Until we connect… I Am Cheering You On to Your Success!

Tanching Enriquez’ Legacy… What Will Yours Be?

By Emma on March 15, 2011 2 Comments

When I was about 8 years old, I remember we used to visit my “Lolo” Edong and “Lola” Tanching’s home.  (Lolo and Lola are Tagalog terms for Grandpa and Grandma and Tagalog is the predominant dialect in the Philippines). Tanching was the nickname for her real name, Constancia.

Technically, per American lineage, they were more like my Grand Uncle and Grand Aunt, but in the Philippines, they were as real as any grandparent could ever be.

I vividly remember the many times they have invited our family over and how I remember the feeling of always being welcomed and loved in their home.  Their love was genuine and unconditional.

I remember being in awe of the pretty things they had in that home.  Lola Tanching had an excellent taste for the finer things in life and her children all took after her.  She had 8 children – 4 girls and 4 boys.  I was always in awe of how she managed a huge family with such grace!

In fact, I remember her oldest daughter, my Godmother Amy being a “beauty queen” in my eyes and I was her #1 fan!  She has inspired me to pursue a degree in business.  Then there’s my Aunt Connie, whom I would say is the wittiest and smartest Aunt I’ve ever known. Aunt Girlie, who’s really a “girly-girl”, always so fashionable and a smile that could melt a room and of course, Aunt Liza who I remember being very studious,  kind and always so thoughtful. They were all beautiful and carried themselves very well.

My Uncle Ben was the “responsible” one as he was the oldest son, then there’s Uncle Dante – the outgoing and fun-loving uncle who loved giving us nicknames. Uncle Boyet – who was always kind and considerate and the youngest Uncle Hector – who was closer to us in age, who couldn’t help being “spoiled” but in a rather good way.

Why am I taking the time to write about my Lola Tanching? It’s because this weekend, while I was in Las Vegas, Speaking at Marketing Funnel Mastery, I heard from her grand daughter Joy that she recently passed away at a young age of 84 years old.

My Beloved Lola Tanching (Photo by Uly Aurelio)

I was heart broken… this sad news stirred up many happy and influential memories.  I was deeply saddened yet I set my feelings aside this weekend as I knew I had a task at hand which was to speak to an incredible group on the value of “Relationship Marketing“.

Now that I had the chance to sleep 5 hours straight, I am finally feeling the loss of a great woman – a woman who has had a tremendous impact in my life!

Lola Tanching was like a “Lola” (Grandma) to everyone she met!  There was no stranger in her  home.  She would always cook extras of food so she can share it with whoever comes to her home. I remember she used to have cases and cases of Pepsi delivered right on their doorstep for anyone who comes to their home.

Pepsi then was an expensive indulgence that most Filipinos couldn’t afford so I remember walking appx. 2 miles to their house, just to have Pepsi!  Imagine that… walking 2 miles for a bottle of Pepsi!  Sure my parents could afford Pepsi but I guess I made Pepsi an excuse for me to visit and spend time in their home.

I enjoyed visiting her and their home. My Grandpa Edong was always so kind and generous and she has always served him ever so lovingly even at the dinner table.   I remember her showing me her collection of perfumes, Spanish fans and jewelry.  It was in their home where I fell in love with their collection of Encyclopedia Britannica and Disney Books.

In the eyes of a young girl, their home was a very safe haven – we had the best vacations there!  It was the perfect home and family to model after.   I would say that it was my experiences in the home of the Enriquez Family where I learned so much about simple elegance, reading, giving, generosity, love, kindness and so many things that are good!

In the late 70′s, her 2nd daughter, my Aunt Connie, was diagnosed of breast cancer and she was miraculously healed through prayer!  It was through that miracle that led me to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We formed a small yet committed group, “God Is Alive” as our participation in the Charismatic Movement to share God’s love.  I remember how we would go on outreaches and crusades in the rural areas and distant provinces and I was part of their music ministry.  With a guitar strapped around me, I would rally the crowd and sometimes lead the worship singing.

The Enriquez’ home was our hub… our headquarters.  Their home has become our second home and it was in their home where we welcomed everybody – there was no stranger in that home – it was open to the poor, the needy, the physically challenged and those who sought God.

Through the years, I stayed connected with the family until I moved to the United States in 1989.  I rarely saw them except for when I would come home for a visit.  For the past 7 years or so, our communication had been limited to just annual Christmas cards.   My Aunt Connie has since moved to Florida to rear a beautiful family with her husband Randolph and their beautiful girl, Joy.  She knew that without having a fellowship group, we would all go on our separate ways.  She did her best to keep us all together but to no avail.

For the next 20 years, the fire and the zeal I acquired from being with them, greatly diminished.  I stopped sharing God’s goodness and although I had utter faith in my life having a purpose in line with His calling, I put my personal relationship and intimacy with Him on hold until God knocked on my door again through a business conference in Florida in 2006.  He reminded me of,  “My words will not return void….”

My Aunt Connie passed away a few years ago and I remembered weeping the loss of someone who cared so much for so many.  She truly was one of the most influential women in my life.  She was a renegade… a pioneer… She was one of the first female engineers in a male-dominated company.  It was bittersweet because I know she is now in heaven and she continues to hear the words “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things.  Come share in your master’s happiness…”.

I am mourning the loss of my Grandma “Lola” Tanching though in my heart, I know that she’s happier now, reunited with her daughter Connie and her husband Edong.

I guess in my long about way, I just want to encourage and remind you to take the time to remember those people who has had a tremendous positive influence in your lives.  Subconsciously, we are in part who we are because of how they have impacted our lives. It could be your favorite teacher, neighbor, relative, friend.

My Lola Tanching will not be able to read this post to let her know how I truly treasure her presence in my life so it is my hope that this will reach the hearts of those she left behind.  I trust that they will find a sliver of joy by reading this and find some comfort in remembering how their family was a catalyst for inspiring many generations.

I would like to think that you go about your business because you want to leave a legacy for your families and your future generation, don’t you?  If so, I would like to leave you with this:

How would you like them to remember you by? What values are you instilling in those who look up to you?  Integrity, honesty, respect, humility, perseverance… faith?  Do you just want to leave a legacy of wealth with no meaning behind it?  Do you teach on having a poverty mindset because by doing so, they are less likely to be disappointed?

I chose to pay forward the values I have learned from the Enriquez family… that of unconditional generosity, love, family togetherness and allowing God to live in their homes and their hearts.

You choose what legacy you will create, live and leave your future generation.  I urge you to think about and commit to something that transcends now… something that will last years and years to come.

If this post has helped inspire you, please leave your  comment and share this with those you care about.

Until we connect again…

Leadership Mastery Starts With YOU!

By Emma on March 14, 2011 No Comments

I just got back from a phenomenal weekend at Marketing Funnel Mastery LIVE with Mike Klingler at the Palazzo in Las Vegas.  What a blessing to be one of the speakers whom Mike asked to speak there!  I spoke about one of the aspects of marketing and life that I am really passionate about and that is “Relationship Currency”.

I believe that we were born for relationships and what it brings us – encouragement,  inspiration, joy and having a sense of belonging.  Our lives our shaped by who we choose to surround ourselves with.  We have a need to follow leaders who truly and genuinely care to hold people’s hands and bring them success.

I awoke this morning thinking of 3 very special leaders who truly has the heart to help teach people real and implementable skills, as well as see them move forward…  I want to take the time to acknowledge and appreciate my friends DiDi Alcheva, Glenn Arcaro and Leta Russell.

I met DiDi 2 years ago at a live event.  At that time, I have heard of her as this incredible and very young collaborator for Renegade Professional.  Witnessing how she just took the online marketing “bull by the horn” truly earned my respect. We connected online but our relationship truly began when we finally met in person!

A year after I met DiDi, I met Glenn through DiDi… Prior to that, I already heard his name from a mutual friend George Fourie and I was literally blown away seeing his talent with conceptualizing, filming and editing videos!  I am a strong advocate of video marketing and witnessing Glenn’s prowess in this arena is quite impressive!  I finally met him at a live event almost a year ago and got the feel for his passion to serve.

The same time I met Glenn, I met Leta Russell in person! Again, at a live event!  three of them in person less than a year ago… guess where? At a live event!  Leta and I have been online friends prior to meeting in person which made it so easy to connect with her! It was as if we’ve known each other for years!  Leta is very methodical… she’s what I would call a “Clarity and Strategy Coach”. She is truly an expert in helping launch business and the art of “mind mapping”. I am grateful that she introduced me to that!
Last December, I had the privilege to have DiDi and Glenn attend my Relational Marketing Secrets LIVE event.  On Day 2 of my event, they came to me with such excitement saying “Emma, you’ve just inspired us to host our very first live event in March!”   I felt like a proud Mom!

That was the beginning of the birth of Leadership Mastery Live – their first ever live event on March 19 – 20, 2011.

The next few months, these 3 dug their heels, hosted free webinars, created massive value, fostered a community of entrepreneurs and and tapped into their powerful relationships they have forged in the past. Powerful industry leaders like Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler undeniably recommend them!

If you haven’t seen their video on why they were compelled to bring you Leadership Mastery Live, click below to see it NOW!

I know it’s a rather short notice…

I also understand that there are a lot of choices for events out there…

However, after having attended over 20 events last year, I know for a fact that Leadership Mastery LIVE will be an event where you will leave with something tangible to go home with.  This event will shave off long hours of painful learning curves having DiDi, Glenn and Leta guiding you step by step on how to really implement their “secrets” on Social Media, Video and MindMapping to create your own powerful strategy and really do something with it!

I will be there to support them and learn from them this weekend and I truly hope that you will be there too!  Register now on the link below…

LEADERSHIP MASTERY LIVE

People are flying in from all over the world so if you live in Southern California and you can drive, don’t think twice about being there.  Just make a decision to advance your marketing and leadership skills and register now!

In my Relational Marketing Secrets, I teach the importance of increasing your circle of influence by connecting with leaders at live events!  Go meet DiDi, Glenn and Leta now while they’re still accessible.  At the rate their going, they might not be able to give you the one-on-one mentoring you will get at this event, in their future events so act quickly!

Leadership Mastery starts with you and having a keen eye on who you will heed advice from.  DiDi, Glenn and Leta will show you that leaders aren’t just born, they can be created!

I look forward to meeting you this weekend to witness your success unfold at Leadership Mastery LIVE!

Who Encourages The Encourager?

By Emma on March 8, 2011 12 Comments

This morning, in the silence and serenity of my car, driving home after dropping Garrett off at school, 4 thoughts dawned on me…

1) Who is an Encourager?

2) Why is encouraging important?

3) Why should we stay encouraged?

4) Who encourages the Encourager?

If you’ve been reading my posts for a while, you’ll know that I am passionate about encouraging entrepreneurs to continue on with their calling to succeed in business. I love being able to help them stay the course, staying motivated, inspired and equipped along the way.

Today, I thought about who really is an Encourager? What makes you and encourager? Why it’s important to be an Encourager? Why should we stay encouraged? Who encourages the Encourager?

WHO IS AN ENCOURAGER?

If you’re a business owner who already understands providing value in terms of tutorials, knowledge, tricks, tips and resources to your potential clients, and it doesn’t even matter whether they purchase or not, you are DEFINITELY an Encourager! You genuinely want to see people move forward and somehow make their lives better even if they never become your customer…

WHY IS ENCOURAGING IMPORTANT?

Because of the “Law of Sowing and Reaping”! The understanding of this law, separates those who are doing things for a perceived gain, as opposed to being there because THEY DO CARE. You are an Encourager if you honestly and genuinely care. When you can absolutely say that you do, people will miraculously flock to you… Why? Because encouragement is something we all need from time to time.

WHY SHOULD WE STAY ENCOURAGED?

We need to stay encouraged because a lot of people are depending on us… from our family, our team members, our clients… Most people go through the motion of simply functioning because they have to. They are on auto-pilot even if they are breaking inside.  If you’re not encouraged, you will not be a fertile ground for success because you will not be operating from the right heart. Discouraged people have resentment and bitterness.  Encouraged people come from a place of abundance and plenty.

Also, when you’re encouraged, you’re more likely to learn, digest and implement the specialized skills you need to succeed in your business.  I always say to my clients, I cannot empower and equip you if you’re discouraged.

WHO ENCOURAGES THE ENCOURAGER?

This is what really got me thinking today. Most of the time, people who encourage a lot get to experience moments when they too need to be encouraged… I personally am one to feel depleted from time to time and need reinforcement and re-assurance.

Here’s what I do when I am feeling that the encourager needs to be encouraged:

1) I turn to prayer and quiet time with God and reading His Word…
2) I read a few Daily Devotionals I subscribe to and it really blows my mind when it answers the concerns I have for that particular day.
3) I reach out to trusted friends and share with them my thoughts just like my good friend Marion Carlon, Author of “True Power of Love and Forgiveness” who immediately came to my rescue today with such incredible words of wisdom… when he left me that voicemail, it spoke directly into my spirit as if he knew exactly what I was going through and what I needed to hear to stay encouraged… It’s as if it came from God’s heart through his mouth!
4) I muster strength to encourage more people!

So who encourages the Encourager? I gave you my secrets on what does it for me… I’d love to hear how you stay encouraged?

Let’s stay connected to keep on encouraging each other!

As always…

I Am Cheering You On To Your Success!

One Step Back… 5 Steps Forward

By Emma on March 6, 2011 1 Comments

Have you ever felt like you keep on doing the same things you’ve done, yet expecting a different result?

Interestingly enough, I go through such cycles from time to time. I had the distinct privilege of taking my Mom and son on a 5 day cruise and during that time, I really felt like I was “in the dark”… detached from my normal world which includes you – my subscribers – and my personal and business connections online and offline.

However, as detached as I was, I found that I was incredibly attached to the idea of treating this cruise as an opportunity to take one step backwards so I can move 5 steps forward!

What an incredible time I had, just being there with Garrett and my Mom, just being a Mom!

The main challenge for me was experiencing “withdrawals” from not having online and phone access for 3 days!

It was such a strange feeling to not be saying “hello” to my Facebook, Twitter and LInked-In friends, nor be able to read my emails, realizing that when I do get back, I will have over 1,000 emails, voice mails, comments, tweets, direct messages to get back to.

Sure… I was tempted to spend $25/hour on the ship’s wi-fi, and trust me I came so close to buying in, but I made a conscious decision to really be in the moment with my son and not take time away from him.

Needless to say, when we got back, I didn’t have the desire to dive in head first into interacting online.  Instead, I took a deep breath, took 3 days of introspection, doing some gardening, organizing our home and creating countless mind maps!  (Thanks to my good friend Leta Russell for turning me to the Buzan Mind Mapping Program.

In my brief “hiatus”, I realized many commonalities that I know will help most online entrepreneurs like myself. Here are 5 Things That Will Help You Take 5 Steps Forward By Taking One Step Back:

  1. It’s okay to not be visible in social media for a few days.  Your friends will still “love” you…
  2. Instead of constantly “Liking” and posting on people’s Facebook Walls and Twitter timelines, take time to create your own content.
  3. Spend time with your families or those you care about, otherwise, they could become resentful of your business, especially when they don’t see you producing results while taking time away from them.
  4. Look through all the assets you already have – journals, blog posts, videos you took  at live events, etc…  Get them out there so it can help others.  And last but not least for sure…
  5. Make a conscious effort to organize, beautify and tidy-up your home… it doesn’t have to be a huge and expensive project.  Challenge yourself and make it a fun project for the family to be creative with what you have…

Quick story to share…

I have been wanting to work on our backyard for 6 months now but have been postponing it as we got a quote of almost $1,000 to put pavers and plant my favorite roses, hydrangeas, jasmines and lavender.  I made a decision that I was going to do it when we got back from the cruise and I made it a project for Garrett and I so when Gary gets back on a business trip, he will see progress…

With due diligence, I researched on where to get the best flowers for less as well as what sort of specials Home Depot was having on paver tiles and voila!  We did the project for less than $200!

So many “mini-miracles” happened to me in the past week that I will eventually share…  Right now, I just want to reach out to you and let you know it’s okay to take
one step back to take 5 steps forward.

I know… I know… there are bills to pay and at times, it requires us to “hustle” but please keep in mind, when you scoop out sand with your hands and grip it tightly, you lose a lot of sand… when you loosen your grip, you lose even more… but finding that perfect balance, you keep it all…

I challenge you to find your balance between MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT.  You come as a package… one can’t be without the other.

If you’re a bit challenged with incorporating your spirituality into your business, I invite you learn more about my Spirit Driven Marketing – combining inspiration from spirit driven personal development and specialized marketing skills to create a sustainable and successful business.

Let me know how and when you take one step back so you can take 5 steps forward.

Until we connect…

Why Spirit Driven Marketing?

By Emma on March 4, 2011 No Comments

Why did I decide to incorporate Spirit Driven Marketing as one of my many client offerings?

My answer is quite simple…  Because I believe that there are so many business owners out there who are lost, spinning their wheels, experimenting with technology, yet remain to be broke, disheartened and discouraged.  They feel that they’re only one course or one mentor away from success where in fact it takes so much more than that for real long term success… there has to be a complete connection between MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT… Yes, spirit.   To think that success simply lies in learning the latest and greatest in marketing strategies is such a fallacy and is a big trap for failure.

When I started in my quest for online marketing success, I had a burning desire to reach out to the believers in the marketplace.  Those who truly believe they are called for a higher purpose, yet are doubtful that they will ever get there because for one reason or another, they remain stuck and couldn’t seem to move forward to experience success in their business.

However, as continued to seek new knowledge, that burning desire was simply set aside to make room for new knowledge, new relationships and more expanded opportunities.

Through all my successes there has always been a nudging… a question being asked from my Spirit… “When are you going back to the purpose I called you for?”

My brief story…

In 2006, at a business conference for my direct sales organization, I “met” God…  Honestly, I thought I already knew him since I was raised in a Catholic home and went to a Catholic University.  It wasn’t until this business conference where I truly felt the power of God over me… I flew to St. Augustine, FL to find out more how I can grow my business but instead, what I received that weekend turned my life around!

I realized that God had a huge plan for me in the business world… something I never thought even existed! Why would God even call people in the business world?  I was so totally clueless!  All I knew was that I had a passion to serve and help people.  I had no idea that God would call me to encourage, empower and equip entrepreneurs!

That year was the beginning of the many joyful and painful awakenings.  It was so interesting to see how when God calls us to something that is far beyond what we can see, there are challenges and consistent tests.  It’s part of removing that dross, akin to purifying silver.  Only when those impurities are gone that he can do His perfect work!

In 2008, I met an amazing lady, Dani Johnson. I found her online and I especially loved her teachings on “Conquering The Financial Kingdom”.

I don’t know about you but nobody taught me about money and how to manage money.  As an immigrant from Manila, Philippines, my life in the US was so exciting as I have access to anything for as long as I have my credit cards!  Mortgage on a million dollar home? Sure! Why not?  Driving brand new cars? Piece of cake… Designer everything?  Who wouldn’t?

It was only after I realized that we were playing catch up with our finances that I fell right into a trap… a big lie…

Life is not about keeping up with the Joneses because…

MOST OF THE JONESES ARE BROKE!

I realized that if I continue to follow the Joneses, I too will become broke!

It was Dani Johnson’s teachings that truly woke us up from deep slumber.  God’s calling in my life was even more magnified when Dani herself called my husband and I on stage as she did her Spiritual Equipping one Saturday evening and that’s when she prophesied over our lives and appointed us to be one of the “Kings In The Marketplace”.  (I have the MP3 file of the actual anointing for those who are interested to hear it…)

You know what’s interesting?  I just recently unearthed that MP3, to listen to it… I listened to it over and over and it left me weeping… that left me deeply humbled that to realize that my simple life was actually available to be used in mightier ways!

Do you want to know what Dani prophesied over my life that Saturday night, on Jan. 19, 2008?    I – N – F – L – U – E – N – C – E !!!

Now it’s perfectly clear why I am passionate about connecting with industry leaders, increasing my circle of influence and teaching others to do the same and bring them with me and connect them with powerful leaders and with each other as they too become influential leaders!

For 2 years, I sought wisdom, paid thousands of dollars more into investing in myself, desiring to learn as much as I can in the shortest amount of time so I can quickly teach others what they can do so they too can fulfill their God ordained purpose.

Aside from being mentored by Dani Johnson and Joyce Meyer, it was during this time when God continued to lead me to the most amazing and most successful leaders, marketers and mentors in the world – Joel Bauer, Mari Smith, Mike Klingler, Mike Dillard, Mike Koenigs, Chris Brogan, Jorge Bueno, Ruth Klein, Ann Sieg, Kathleen Ronald, and Jerry Chen…. these are my mentors who have now become my Trusted Advisors. They taught me so much of what I know in marketing and spiritual development and now I can transfer that priceless knowledge to you.

I absolutely believe that everyone was born with and for a purpose but…

IT’S UP TO US TO SEEK IT SO WE CAN FIND IT!

In 2009, while attending a live event in San Diego, I woke up at 4:30 am in my hotel room and was led to craft my life’s mission which remains true to this day:

“To live a life on purpose
and help others find theirs…

To always reflect God’s love in
my life and be a light on a hill for others
to see…

To bring hope to the hopeless…

To become unbelievably blessed so
I can become a blessing”

It was also that morning when The Relational Marketer was born and the goal for The Relational Marketer was to Encourage, Empower and Equip Entrepreneurs, especially those who too are called to be “Kings In The Marketplace”.

What are Kings In The Marketplace, you might ask?

Well, in Biblical Times, there were Kings and there were Priests…

In Dani Johnson’s book, Spirit Driven Success, here’s what she wrote about Marketplace Kings:

“Who has the influence? The kings.  This is the way it works in the Bible. You see, the priests served the kings not the other way around.  The priests served the kings.  The priests were the ones, through relationship with that king, relationship with God, would hear from God and would bring direction and  a message to the king .  So who had the voice with the people? The king.

The king was the voice box to the people, not the priest.  The same is true today.

The priest is supposed to – the pastor, the minister – is supposed to influence the king, raise him up, give him Godly advice, give him good direction, that they would be a light on a hill, and that they turn to their place of influence and they shout from the mountain tops the direction from Almighty God. The kings have the influence in the marketplace.

Who’s at the head of the Internet? The kings.  Who’s the head of books?  The Kings.  Who’s at the head of everything that I just mentioned, movies, music, all of it? Kings.  They are leaders.  Leaders are dominating the marketplace, and God is looking for a peculiar people that want to run with Him, that want to take the cities by storm.  He wants a peculiar people that His anointing will be on for business, because business is one of the chief influencers in our cities and in the world today.”

It was Dani Johnson and her book Spirit Driven Success that has inspired me to help you become a Spirit Driven Marketer.  If you haven’t read Spirit Driven Success, grab a copy now and find out for yourself why it has become a bestselling book!
