<p>9) <strong>Posturing in Online and Offline Networking </strong>-  3</p>
<p>10) <strong>Branding</strong> -  6</p>
<p>11) <strong>Lead Capture Pages</strong> -  2</p>
<p>12) <strong>Autoresponder/Email Marketing </strong>-  3</p>
<p>13) <strong>Blueprint to put together all of the above</strong>! &#8211; 5</p>
<p>Our group has grown since this survey and these results will probably change.  I do find it<br />
interesting that the above results are based on the opinion of the most interactive<br />
members of the group and I want to thank them so much for their participation, please find<br />
their names and their websites on the bottom of this post.</p>
<p>What I found interesting is that NONE of them needed help with &#8220;Overcoming the Fear of Video&#8221; and only 1 checked &#8220;Overcoming Fear of Visibility&#8221;.</p>
<p>I was right on with my expectation that to have a &#8220;Blueprint On How To Put Things Together Is VERY Important but was quite impressed when &#8220;Info-Product Creation&#8221; also came up as a top priority.</p>
<p>However, I was pleasantly surprised that &#8220;Branding&#8221; came up as THE TOP PRIORITY for<br />
this group!  This is so exciting for me because this is what I am passionate about!  To<br />

<p>Sure, when you&#8217;re in a platform as vast and as huge as Facebook, you are bound to meet all kinds of people from all over the world and despite our due diligence to screen those we accept as &#8220;Friends&#8221;, some not so very ethical and considerate people slip through the cracks.</p>
<p>Having connected with some of the most V.I.P. &#8211; Visible, Influential and Profitable leaders, movers and shakers and up and comers on Facebook, I believe I am in the best position to speak about what to do and what NOT to do when on Facebook.  I know that when you apply even a tiny bit of what I will share with you here, you will become UNFORGETTABLE, magnetic and you will reach people you would have never been able to reach before.</p>

<p>Okay&#8230; here&#8217;s my exclusive Step by Step Guide on What You Must Start Doing To Connect With V.I.Ps on FB&#8230;</p>
<p>1) Do a &#8220;search&#8221; for the leader you want to connect with&#8230; your &#8220;hero&#8221; or people you want to collaborate with.</p>
<p>2) Preferably, connect with them on their Personal Profile first by sending them a PERSONAL MESSAGE on why you want to connect with them.  Don&#8217;t just say &#8220;we have mutual friends&#8221;&#8230; that&#8217;s so impersonal.  When people send me that kind of message, I think 2x before I &#8220;friend&#8221; them.  I personally perceive that as lack of research on who I truly am and what&#8217;s their motive for friending me.  Granted a lot of people have motives which is to be able to tap on your &#8220;friends&#8221; as well and increase their network. The most powerful personal message you can send are:</p>
<p>a)  I have read your book, (watched your video, met you at a live event, attended your webinar, etc&#8230;) I was positively influenced by it and would love to connect with you here!</p>
<p>b)  My good friend XYZ, suggested that I connect with you on FB&#8230; I am a ____( tell them who you are and what you do without your selling hat on)________ and I was told that you enable people like me to _____________.  I would love to find out more about you and learn from you!</p>
<p>c)  If it&#8217;s a potential collaborator, you can use the above sentence but instead, end it with &#8220;I would like to explore potential joint venture partnerships with you now or in the future&#8221;</p>
<p>d)  I noticed that you actively speak or post on topics of XYZ&#8230; I would love to learn more about that and more about you so I look forward to connecting with you here!</p>
<p>3)  Once they accept you as a &#8220;Friend&#8221;&#8230; PLEASE&#8230; no matter how you think this has worked in the past for you, DON&#8217;T SEND THEM A GENERIC VIDEO saying &#8220;I am so happy we connected here&#8230; please go to my XYZ website to find out more about me and LIKE my Page! That is a no-no!!! I have<br />
unfriended many people who have done this to me&#8230;.</p>
<p>4) DO NOT under any circumstances immediately add your new friends to a list and start inviting them to your FB Page or to an event you&#8217;re doing.  I find that rather tasteless!  I Delete and Block people who do this immediately.</p>
<p>5) If you&#8217;re friending many people at a time, don&#8217;t just go to their wall posting a &#8220;Copied and Pasted&#8221; &#8211; Thank you for connecting message! Instead, use their name and tell them why you&#8217;re excited to connect with them!</p>
<p>6)  If you have already met them at a live event and have a photo with them, post that photo or video on their Wall and make sure you say something nice about that photo and &#8220;tag&#8221; yourself and that person.  By tagging, I mean finding that &#8220;Tag This Photo&#8221; link, clicking on that, then clicking on that person&#8217;s face and entering their name until a drop down list of your FB friends starting with the same name comes up and clicking on the name that matches the person on the photo&#8230;</p>

<p>7)  If this person has really made an impact in your life, send them a personal and private message letting them know how they have positively impacted your life.  This goes a long way&#8230; When people do this for me, I pay very close attention to them and I want to help them even more.</p>
<p>8)  A big NO-NO! When you create a video and it has a very inspirational yet broad and profound message in it, please don&#8217;t just TAG them on that video for no apparent reason, UNLESS, they are specially mentioned on that video. I immediately delete those from my Wall and I un-tag myself from the video.</p>
<p>9)  One of the very best things you can do is to create a personal welcome video for this person, post it on YouTube and then share that video link on your new friend&#8217;s Wall&#8230; this will truly get you noticed in a very good and respectful way&#8230;</p>
<p>10) Last but not least &#8211; one of the most important things you can do if you really want to connect with an industry leader or a hero you&#8217;ve been admiring from a distance is to invest in their product, system or service&#8230; then IMPLEMENT what you&#8217;ve learned, create a video, post it on YouTube and share that same video link on their wall&#8230;</p>

<p>Over the weekend, my husband and I sat quietly watching Denzel Washington&#8217;s movie, &#8220;Unstoppable&#8221; through Netflix.   There was a scene there where there was this massive unmanned runaway train and Denzel was going to risk his life to stop the train and save the town from all the toxic cargo it had.  The owner of the company was livid because he already has plans to derail the train and yet Denzel is risking his life for the cause.  When his boss asked him why he&#8217;s doing it despite being fired and given his 90-days notice for no reason, he said: &#8220;I&#8217;m not doing this for you…&#8221;</p>
<p>I had a really profound  conversation with my husband about that.  We went back and forth, &#8220;agreeing to disagree&#8221; but admittedly, he brought up a good question.</p>
<p>Do people really buy only from people they like?  Do you really need to be liked to gain customers?</p>
<p>His background is Aerospace Engineering but prior to that, he was a Director of Sales for a big rubber and alloy company and their clients were predominantly huge aerospace companies with billion dollar programs.  He said that there were so many personality conflicts and ego floating around in that industry that one doesn&#8217;t really need to be liked for transactions to happen. You just need to have the best product and pricing.</p>
<p>Honestly, I was almost stumped when he said that because I saw his point.</p>
<p>HOWEVER, here&#8217;s how I responded to that.  When we talk about product and you are the only one or the best one at what&#8217;s being offered, being liked is probably not as relevant.  All the customer wants is a good reliable product  and of course,</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>A TRUSTED REPUTATION.</strong></span></p>
<p>I told him that his clients may not necessarily like him &#8211; which they do &#8211; but somehow, they have to be able to TRUST the company and the brand.</p>
<p>As a Relational Marketer, having clients who are Authors, Speakers, Coaches and Business Owners, I always talk about how your marketing efforts are off K.I.L.T.E.R. if your prospects don&#8217;t get to:</p>
<p><strong>K &#8211; Know</strong></p>
<p><strong>I &#8211; Involve</strong></p>
<p><strong>L &#8211; Like</strong></p>
<p><strong>T &#8211; Trust</strong></p>
<p><strong>E &#8211; Embrace</strong></p>
<p><strong>R &#8211; Respect</strong></p>
<p>It is an ongoing process to make sure that your marketing efforts are on track and I have simplified all of that with <strong><a href="http://www.successdrivencoaching.com">The Emma5</a></strong>.</p>
<p>So, my answer to the question, &#8220;Do You Really Need To Be Liked&#8221; is  YES.  Do you need to like me immediately? Probably not.  Just like Trust, to be Liked is subjective and it does take time.  However, do you need to be liked before any business transaction could take place?  Not always, but most often than not, the answer is YES!</p>
<p>Our potential clients are getting more savvy and rightfully so as there are so many choices out there for experts and people we will allow to speak into our lives and influence us.</p>
<p>Being <strong>KNOWN</strong> is the first step and that is achieved through being visible online.  As you become more visible, and start <strong>INVOLVE</strong>-ing your prospects now get to decide whether they <strong>LIKE</strong> you enough to consume your offerings and content.  After being liked comes being <strong>TRUSTED</strong>.  Trust is the result of repetition and consistency.  When you then allow them to <strong>EMBRACE</strong> you by sharing of your authenticity, you earn their <strong>RESPECT </strong>and they not only do business with you but they become raving fans and a referrals for life.</p>

time of the year with family and friends!</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t know about you but summer has always been a time when I am tempted<br />
to slow down, kick back and cut back on my productivity.  However, every time I do this, I find myself playing struggling to play catch up in the fall, when businesses are jumpstarting back up for the holidays.</p>

<strong><em>&#8220;One Works Harder At Being A Failure Than At Being A Success…&#8221;</em></strong></span></p>
<p>This hit home rather clearly… In the past, I remember how I would focus and fret over these thoughts:</p>
<ul>
<li>I&#8217;m not good enough.</li>
<li>People won&#8217;t be interested in what I have to share</li>
<li>I need to learn more before I can accept clients</li>
<li>People won&#8217;t hire me as I don&#8217;t have success stories</li>
<li>I don&#8217;t think people can duplicate my process or system.</li>
<li>I might say the wrong thing…What will they think of me?</li>
<li>I don&#8217;t want to offend anybody</li>
<li>Etc…</li>
</ul>
<p>I didn&#8217;t realize that by keeping these negative thoughts and concerns that were becoming my reality, I am working hard at being a failure rather than being a success.</p>
<p>Up until 2 years ago…</p>
<p>It was then at this <a href="http://www.siteproweb.com/zerotoonlinehero"><strong>Traffic Geyser Live Event</strong></a> in San Diego, California when two milestones happened in my life:</p>
<p>1)  The Relational Marketer was born</p>
<p>2)  I accepted the fact that I have a message important enough to share with the<br />
world using video marketing.</p>
<p>I created my very first video on January 27, 2009 and since then I have become an Author, Speaker and Online Marketing Consultant that has created many <strong><a href="http://www.therelationalmarketer.com/testimonials/">success stories</a></strong>, using this<strong> <a href="http://www.siteproweb.com/zerotoonlinehero">best kept secret</a>.</strong></p>
<p>Sadly, even if I thought long and hard before I made a decision to share this secret with a lot of people who need this, only few will take action and check it out.</p>
<p>I trust that if you&#8217;re reading this, I have somewhat gained your trust and are most likely to check out what I am talking about.</p>
<p>Grow Rich While You Sleep has reminded me that &#8220;wishing&#8221; and &#8220;knowing&#8221; are worlds apart….</p>

<p>Knowing is believing that you ALREADY are who it is  you want to become.   Funny, I became a Speaker in my mind first, then I really became one… I believed I was an Author first, before I became one.  I believed the <a href="http://www.mainstreetmarketingmachines.com/?af=922942"><strong>tools </strong></a>that were presented to me, to be necessary for me to become a successful Online Marketing Consultant and I now I am one!</p>

<p>SoundCloud.com &#8211; it&#8217;s pretty amazing as you&#8217;re able to share it via email and on other networking sites&#8230;</p>
<p>So there you go&#8230; no more excuses! When you don&#8217;t feel like appearing on video but have a message you want to share, you can use your iPhone or other smart phone, or even your computer&#8217;s built-in microphone and upload them on SoundCloud.com and share it with the world!</p>
<p>After all, to become a true Relational Marketer, your prospects have to know, like and trust you&#8230; Audio and video are two incredible ways for them to get a feel for your heart&#8230;</p>

5) Be a Listener&#8230; sometimes people just want to be heard.<br />
6) Encourage others &#8211; even just a simple encouraging word can change lives!<br />
7) Do what you say you&#8217;re going to do &#8211; trust is the #1 currency online!</p>
