Stop Hiding, Start Engaging!

By Emma on April 28, 2011 15 Comments
Share

Recently, I started a Facebook Group I called “The Relational Marketers“.  I formed this group to have a place for individuals to really get to know each other and support each other, not just by commenting or sharing and re-tweeting each other’s post but to really do our best to get to know each other and what we do.

It’s a rather active group – except for when I disappear for a week on vacation and are unable to interact! “Wink-wink”

It’s so refreshing though to see that in the past week or so when I was away, there are a few people who remained engaged…

Beth Wiles, of www.BethWiles.com – specializes in counseling and coaching you so you can discover a new passion and purpose for your life!  She blew me away with her blogpost homeword, on “Are You Fearful or Sharing Your Greatness?” where she shared how with the encouragement from myself and the group, she was able to get over her fear of video and sharing of herself.  Now she has discovered that video is her best friend!  Watch out world, Beth has just begun!

Rowena Bolo of www.RowenaBolo.com and known as “The Asian Marketer Who Hears You Out”, teaches “how you can discover how you can maximize the rich potential of online marketing.  Rowena and I came from the same country but she’s lived overseas for quite some time now and as we speak, she is touring Europe with her husband. What a life! She shares this very sweet post on how her engagement with me a few months ago, resulted in her being able to overcome her fear of video and essentially not feeling good enough….  Such a rich story here!

Pat and Lorna Shanks, my dear friends from Canada also known as “The Coolest Couple” of www.TheCoolestCouple.com teaching people about “Cool Tools, Cool Knowledge and Cool People”, lovingly and generously created 2 videos for me.  One was a video of me signing my book “Attracting Customers for Life” that they won when I raffled it off during my presentation, and another video showing my short interview with them on “How Posting Pictures From Events Makes a Huge Impact”-  I LOVE these two as I witnessed first hand how they moved around the room, connecting and engaging… they are masterful at this and we all have so much to learn from them!

Gemeem Davis, of www.MakeLifeWorkNow.com – who offers “Personal Development For Today’s Entrepreneur”, has recently joined us after traveling the world – immediately engaged with and took pride in the group! Gemeem has so much to offer especially in the personal development arena.  She offers 3 special reports on her site, but the one that I know resonates with most of my subscribers is this:  “My Reluctancy To Call Myself An Expert Taught Me A Lot”.

I see how these 5 amazing individuals truly walk their talk.  They are out there engaging, contributing and adding value to us online.  They have gifts for you and they’re not hiding those gifts and are opening their hearts for you to receive those gifts.

How about you?  Are you engaging? What are your “rules of engagement”?  If you’re not engaging, I want to know why not?

From my personal experience as well as what my clients share with me, here are the reasons – or shall we say, excuses – why people don’t engage.  Do some of these resonate with you?

1) I don’t think what I have to share is valuable.
2) A lot of people are already talking about XYZ strategy, why should I talk about the same thing?
3) I don’t really know what to talk about.
4) I’m going to wait until I am clear on what my passion and offerings are.
5) I am really shy.
6) What if they don’t respond to my comment?
7) So many people are commenting on a post, I don’t want to comment and be bothered by all the notifications coming to my Inbox
8) I don’t know where to find valuable stuff to share.
9) If I share so and so’s stuff, my clients might go to him/her instead of me.

And last but not least, my “favorite” because it just doesn’t make sense:
10) I don’t have the time to build relationships online!

Okay,  if you’re reading this, chances are those excuses don’t apply to you, right?

Just like Beth, Rowena, Pat, Lorna and Gemeem, I know you all are relational marketers, if not, you’re committed to becoming one and that’s why you’re here.

Engagement is just making a conscious decision everyday to connect with someone.  It doesn’t have to take 3 hours to engage and connect… Some days I do it for 30 minutes, other days over 1 hour and some days, zero.

If you find yourself needing help in engaging more deeply online, come stay tuned for some announcements on my upcoming Webshows on EmmaTiebens.TV.
Engagement is going to be one of my topics, together with Encourage and Empower.

If you haven’t downloaded my special report “Relational Marketing Secrets”, get it now by going to www.RelationalMarketingSecrets.com - you will also receive notifications on V.I.P. events, webshows, webinars and bonus gifts just by leaving your name and a information there.

Oh and join us on our The Relational Marketers Facebook Group where I get to give you more insights and you get to interact with amazing like-minded individuals.

As always, Sharing is Caring… please Click on RSS to Subscribe, Leave a Comment and Share this with your friends.

Until Next Time…

Grow Rich While You Sleep… From Zero To Hero

By Emma on April 12, 2011 9 Comments
Share

Grow Rich While You Sleep… Go From Zero To Online Hero.

Here in my car waiting for my Mom at her doctor’s appointment.  I couldn’t resist creating this video and post about a book that I am absolutely loving right now…

“Grow Rich While You Sleep…”

There is a quote in the book that goes:

“One Works Harder At Being A Failure Than At Being A Success…”

This hit home rather clearly… In the past, I remember how I would focus and fret over these thoughts:

  • I’m not good enough.
  • People won’t be interested in what I have to share
  • I need to learn more before I can accept clients
  • People won’t hire me as I don’t have success stories
  • I don’t think people can duplicate my process or system.
  • I might say the wrong thing…What will they think of me?
  • I don’t want to offend anybody
  • Etc…

I didn’t realize that by keeping these negative thoughts and concerns that were becoming my reality, I am working hard at being a failure rather than being a success.

Up until 2 years ago…

It was then at this Traffic Geyser Live Event in San Diego, California when two milestones happened in my life:

1)  The Relational Marketer was born

2)  I accepted the fact that I have a message important enough to share with the
world using video marketing.

I created my very first video on January 27, 2009 and since then I have become an Author, Speaker and Online Marketing Consultant that has created many success stories, using this best kept secret.

Sadly, even if I thought long and hard before I made a decision to share this secret with a lot of people who need this, only few will take action and check it out.

I trust that if you’re reading this, I have somewhat gained your trust and are most likely to check out what I am talking about.

Grow Rich While You Sleep has reminded me that “wishing” and “knowing” are worlds apart….

Do you know the difference?

Wishing is hoping for something but not believing you’re going to get it because of how you perceive yourself and the limitations you put on yourself…

Knowing is believing that you ALREADY are who it is  you want to become.   Funny, I became a Speaker in my mind first, then I really became one… I believed I was an Author first, before I became one.  I believed the tools that were presented to me, to be necessary for me to become a successful Online Marketing Consultant and I now I am one!

Don’t take my word for it… find out for yourself how I went “From Zero to Online Hero”.

When I say “hero” it’s not coming from an inflated ego… it stems from a grateful heart that is still in disbelief at the incredible specialized knowledge I have amassed through the years and the Mentors and relationships I now have.

And it all stemmed from believing that “I Am Already Successful” even before the money started coming in and simply moving forward, continuing to hold on to that belief!

So, will you choose to go “From Zero To Online Hero”?  You already have hero skills… you just need to fine tune those skills and find people you can save…

In the words of Buzz LIghtyear… “to infinity and beyond!”

If you’ve benefited from this post, please Comment, Share, Subscribe, Retweet… Thank you in advance…

No More Excuses… SoundCloud!

By Emma on April 5, 2011 No Comments

Emma Tiebens Introduces SoundCloud.com by EmmaTiebens

Real quick…

I am sure if you’ve been an online marketer for the past year or so, you already know the importance of video marketing. I am truly passionate about teaching my clients how to utilize video marketing to tie their marketing efforts together!

However… I totally understand that sometimes, we’re not too comfortable with video and it takes quite a while to get used to video… I totally empathize with you as I too have been frightened with video for as long as I can remember until I made a decision to go for it because I know that my life’s message will impact a lot of people!

On January 27, 2009, I created and posted my first video on YouTube… now I have hundreds of them online!

So, today I thought of you and this new service that I just found more about…

SoundCloud.com – it’s pretty amazing as you’re able to share it via email and on other networking sites…

So there you go… no more excuses! When you don’t feel like appearing on video but have a message you want to share, you can use your iPhone or other smart phone, or even your computer’s built-in microphone and upload them on SoundCloud.com and share it with the world!

After all, to become a true Relational Marketer, your prospects have to know, like and trust you… Audio and video are two incredible ways for them to get a feel for your heart…

I will be launching “Random Thoughts By The Relational Marketer” and guess what? Most of my posts will be via SoundCloud.com.

So go ahead, try it and let me know how it works out for you! Better yet, teach us more features that we probably haven’t discovered…

Until next time…

Cheering You On To Your Success!

Should I Stay Or Should I Go? A Lesson On Facebook Groups.

By Emma on March 2, 2011 4 Comments
Share

Lately, I have been inundated by instances where I was added to a Facebook group without any invitation and without my permission.  While I truly appreciate the thought, I have experienced groups that were just downright spammy and as emails from comments start pouring, the more I get aggravated by the emails that start coming in my Inbox!

If you’ve been online for the past 3 months, you have experienced and know exactly what I’m talking about… This video is for you…

No more enduring the annoyance!

The question now is:  Should you stay or should you go?

Well, if you like the group and the people in the group, you don’t have to leave the group… you can simply turn off the email notifications or customize the notifications instead of relying on the default which is to notify you every time someone leaves a comment or a post.

But…  if  you already have way too many communities you’re involved in and you have a tendency to be easily distracted, then it might be best to leave the group all together.

Personally, I have already left quite a few groups but I chose to still become a member of many other groups because I have relationships with the Organizers of the group but the only way I am able to handle my participation in those groups is to customize the notification.

I trust this video will help you! Let me know how it has worked for you…

Please leave a comment below or better yet, if you can make a video of how this has helped you, send me the raw file of that video and I will post that video on my own YouTube channel and share in social media… it’s a win-win! You get exposure and I get to help more people through your video.

By the way, I am planning a FREE 5-part webinar series on “5 Path’s To Profits” shortly.  If you haven’t subscribed to my Relational Marketing Secrets, you may do so now by clicking here.  That’s where I’ll be announcing the details to my webinar.

That’s all for now…

Until we connect…

I am cheering you on to your success!!!

Will You Still Use Facebook If You’re No Longer In Business?

By Emma on November 18, 2010 4 Comments
Share

I was driving home from Garrett’s school this morning and thought about how much fun my little interaction with powerful women industry leaders, Ann Sieg, Rachel Jackson, Deborah Tutnauer and Jackie Ulmer was last night.  We were talking about our “work out music” and all of a sudden there’s this burst of nostalgia from the “King of Pop”, Michael Jackson all the way to Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block and even Tom Petty!

Funny, we weren’t there anywhere near each other but I felt a bond with these amazing women entrepreneurs!  In one thread we covered business, work out music, Merlot and popcorn…

Two weeks or so ago, another “virtual thread party” happened when at 1am, I posted a comment on my friend Jorge Bueno’s Wall and all of a sudden, I see my other good friend Jerry Chen chime in… I followed Jerry’s activities for that night and saw that he was also commenting on a thread with industry leader, Mike Klingler.  I chimed in and in no time, the amazing Diane Hochman was also replying to the thread and it really felt like a virtual party!

I just absolutely love these leaders I mentioned on this note!  It made me wonder this morning, where else would you find such the opportunity to socialize and really have fun, at the same time connecting with people who in the past were just “public images”… icons or legends if you will…

The proper connection with social media truly enables ANYONE to reach people they wouldn’t have been able to reach before!  You have the resources right there in your hands and it’s just a matter of you really making a commitment to create that connection if it’s important enough for you.

This morning, as I reminisced those great times, I wondered to myself… “Will I keep on Facebook-ing and Tweeting if I decide to no longer be in business?”  It’s almost like the question of “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?”

Most people start on Facebook with the intent of re-connecting with friends and families but find themselves inspired by the entrepreneurial movement and they start checking into the possibility of creating an online business.

Some, they start on Facebook with the intent of generating leads or getting visibility for their business and they end up creating relationships that are sometimes more priceless than what they have offline.

There is a degree of social acceptance that makes Facebook and Twitter so “addicting” if you will.

For the past 2 years, social media has been an integral part of my life that my day is really not complete without it!

I use my Facebook and Twitter for both business and personal because I thrive in the opportunity to be able to Encourage, Empower and Engage someone.  That for me is the essence of Relational Marketing.

Social Media has allowed me to build and forge incredible relationships that I will cherish even if someday I decide to no longer be in business.

Social media has made the world so much smaller, that as long as there’s internet connection, you can use it to make a positive difference in someone’s life anywhere in the world!

Start using social media wisely and with the right intentions and it will reward you with incredible relationships and opportunities far more than you can ever imagine!

My answer to “Will You Still Use Facebook If You’re No Longer In Business?”  I believe my answer is a resounding YES! How about you? Why and why not?

5 People… FREE Coaching… In Honor Of Memorial Day!

By Emma on May 30, 2010 No Comments
Share

Last year, Gary was at the Dallas, TX Airport when out of the quiet waiting area came a loud applause as our Men and Women in uniform deplaned. Gary felt a surge of patriotism and gratitude and made sure he captured this on from his iPhone.

Since it’s Memorial Day weekend, I thought about fellow Americans who are serving or have served in the military. I see some of them on Twitter and Facebook and I see that quite a few are doing their best to learn online marketing so I wondered: “How Can I Give Back”?

So, in honor of Memorial Day, I would love to offer 1-hour PERSONAL COMPLIMENTARY COACHING ($175 value) to the first 5 people who have served and continue to serve our country via US Military. This offer is only good until June 15, 2010 so get in touch w/ me ASAP! Let me know via Facebook, Twitter, personal email or leave a comment and tell me who you are and what you’re mainly challenged with at the moment. IF YOU KNOW OF FRIENDS who have served our country and would benefit from my Online Marketing Coaching, please share this post with them.

If you HAVE NOT SERVED IN THE MILITARY but are reading this post and are very serious about gaining some clarity on how to move forward with your business, I would love to offer you my 15 minute Complimentary Consultation to the first 5  people who will respond to this as well…

As you enjoy your Memorial Day weekend, let’s take the time to remember and say prayers of extra blessings to the Men and Women who have and continue to enable us to enjoy this freedom we now enjoy and think about what do you have to offer to possibly give back to them…

I look forward to hearing from you and being able to help you gain some clarity and direction even just for the moment…

How Traffic Formula 2.0 Jumpstarted My Online “Celebrity” Status

By Emma on May 18, 2010 No Comments
Share

Magnetic Sponsoring and Traffic Formula 2.0
Alright, let’s address some important points first.  I don’t consider myself an online “celebrity” by any means… however, people who I connect with day in and day out  always tell me “Wow, you’re such a celebrity and here’s the kicker…. ” I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE!”

While that may not mean a lot to some of you, it truly is something that is worth paying attention to.  Only about 1 year and a half ago, I have NO online presence whatsoever.  All I knew then was that Mike Dillard taught me I need to start learning how to “give without want before I get what I want”.  That was the phrase that spurred the birth of my brand, The Relational Marketer.    I knew I had so much to offer but I didn’t really understand how to put everything together so I purchased Traffic Formula 1 and devoured that course!

A few months after I purchased the course, online marketing started evolving and it necessitated that I learned more in depth information on how a “Nerve Center” works and how tributaries flowed into it.  Mike Dillard and Tim Erway who are always very in tuned and sensitive to what the market demands, decided to offer Traffic Formula 2.0 and I was one of the first respondents who purchased the course! Why? Because that was exactly what I needed at that time!

Yes, it took a few months to really understand and implement the concept but like I always say… “Good things come to those who wait but who also know how to implement as they wait”.  I exercised my favorite parts of the course which are:

1) Market Discovery Formula
2)The Nerve Center – Key To A Successful Dominating Online Marketing Presence
3) Content Creation Factory
4) Nerve Center Traffic Generation Bonus
5) Social Media Traffic
6) Video Marketing – (my Favorite!)
7) Never Center Profitability Booster

In 6 months during and after implementation of these teachings, here are my tangible results:

1)  I have created a Powerful and Branded Online Presence!
2)  When you Google Emma Tiebens, there are now 18,800 search results!
3)  I am now a sought after  Online Marketing Consultant and Coach
4)  I generate about 5-10 Leads a day from Social Media and Video Marketing alone!
5)  I have many offers for Joint Venture Partnerships and Community Training opportunities
6) I have connected and built highly profitable business relationships with Industry Leaders I wouldn’t have been able to reach before!
7) I have created my first CD, wrote 1 Book, 2 eBooks, co-authored a book with Mari Smith, and 3 OnlineVideo Courses!
8) I have redesigned my Blog to reflect the Thesis WordPress Theme – an idea I resisted greatly prior to TF 2.0. Still work in progress but a huge leap never the less.
9) From being a network marketer who was simply looking to learn how to have an online presence for myself and my business, I evolved into an Author, Online Marketing Business Consultant and a Speaker who will soon have my own system!
10) I am able to connect at a deeper level with my thousands of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube friends and I’ve generated sizable income from  helping them create a powerful online presence using Relational Marketing!

While some people reduce their results with just the $$$ signs measuring success, mine includes both.  My business profits increased by 50% after TF 2.0 but what’s even more priceless are the doors to unlimited potential that have opened up and the knowing the best is yet to come!

THANK YOU MIKE DILLARD, TIM ERWAY, JUSTIN CHRISTIANSEN, JASON BETTER and the staff of Better Networker and Magnetic Sponsoring!  You’re all visionaries and thank you for continuing to share your wisdom and your heart to the world!

Relational Marketing: Encourage… Empower… Engage!

By Emma on May 3, 2010 2 Comments
Share

After 3 months of contemplation, I have finally decided to redo my Blog. Thanks to the masterful advice and tireless help of George Fourie, Founder of www.thatMLMBeat.com .

When I started The Relational Marketer on January 2009, I started from scratch just from the pure desire to help remind people to ask the question: “Whose Life Is Now Better Because Of Yours”? I believed then, as much as I believed now that relational or relationship marketing will be the future of marketing!

A year or so later, there is now a need for me to expand and provide more skills and content to my amazing friends who continue to inspire me to do better. The Relational Marketer has now evolved into a “hub” for the many skills and wisdom I would like to share with other entrepreneurs who are doing their best and are committed to creating a powerful online presence for their businesses so they can use that to attract, nurture and retain clients and build powerful business relationships as well.

So, I am happy to announce the launch of my newly redesigned The Relational Marketer Blog in the next few weeks! My new Blog will focus on 3 key things:

1) “Encourage Entrepreneurs” by sharing with them, inspirational resources – quotes, books, courses, videos, communities – to enable them to keep on believing and pressing forward.

2) “Empower Entrepreneurs” – with online marketing skills that they would need to learn or integrate with their overall marketing strategy, including Offline Networking Strategies, Social Media Strategies and Online Video Marketing that will enable them to become more understood, appreciated, admired and have a following. Not to mention being able to reach people – industry leaders – they wouldn’t have been able to reach before.

3) “Engage Entrepreneurs” – Be able to offer entrepreneurs with my own personal success systems and strategies that will allow them to “play like the big boys”, whether through my books, online courses, my Relational Marketing Secrets Blueprint or my Online Video Success Now services. I am passionate about connecting like-minded, positive and results-oriented entrepreneurs with each other to create a powerful community of successful people making a world of difference to the lives of many.

These 3 E’s are the basic foundation for Relational/Relationship Marketing. Encouragement “Attracts, Empowerment “Nurtures” and Engagement “Retains”.

It is my hope that through this Blog, you will learn to become powerful Relational Marketers and build successful relationships that will propel your business to the level you’ve never imagined and connect with people – clients, leaders and mentors – who will drastically change your life, just as it did for me!

Cheering You On To Your Success!
