Emma’s Happy New Year 2010 Message

By Emma on December 27, 2009 1 Comments

Still here in Louisville, KY for the holidays! I had a most wonderful past 4 days of just spending time with the Tiebens Family. It’s such a joy to see a family that is so big yet so close! This is my 15th Christmas in Louisville, KY and I absolutely look forward to Christmases here.

I believe that the Year 2010 will be a Year of Completion for most of us – for most of you who have been following my Blog, my posts and videos. I believe that if we all stay the course and continue to realize that you are called to a purpose greater than you think possible, you will be sent people and opportunities that will blow you away! This is what happened to me this year…

I will do a recap of my year that was to just see how far I’ve come even if I am not where I want to be, I most certainly thank God that I am not where I used to be! I have learned sooo much, met some incredibly amazing mentors and I am closer to my dreams now, more than ever!

How about you? I encourage you to do the same… ask yourselves what you’ve accomplished this year and that will propel you to move farther this year!

Happy New Year 2010 from my family to yours!!!

Investing In “YOU, Inc”… What’s On Your Christmas List?

By Emma on December 7, 2009 2 Comments

I looked at the calendar this morning and almost panicked! It’s 18 days before Christmas and truthfully, my Christmas cards haven’t been sent and I have not done one ounce of shopping! This is not normal for me because I normally have my Christmas cards ordered by September as I have been hand assembling them for the past 10 years. However, with 400 cards to send this year, hand assembling is not a possibility anymore…

Yes, I have many, many things I would love to buy for myself and my family this Christmas. This is normally the time when we splurge on ourselves, we make a list of what we really, really love to have – the things we can’t “live without” and this is when we sit down to plan the vacations we’ll be taking the next year.

Interestingly enough when my husband ask me what I wanted for Christmas this year, I was able to honestly say “Thanks Honey, but I don’t need anything…” Seriously, this is the first time ever when I was able to say that…

Oh please, don’t get me wrong… inside this empowered entrepreneur is still a “girly-girl” who likes nice things like a couple of nice Gucci and Louis Vuitton purses, a cashmere blanket, a Shamina shawl, the latest Ugg boots and let’s not even go to the latest gadgets in technology… possibly a brand new touch screen computer with the biggest memory and the faster processor available. Oh and did I say hiring an interior designer to re-decorate and re-paint our home? How about an appointment with a personal shopper at Neiman Marcus and leave with at least 3 great suits or outfits? And what about my annual make-over appointment at the Chanel counter for the latest in colors for the next 2 seasons? And what about my favorite sales reps at David Yurman and Tiffany jewelry whom I haven’t seen in a long time? Oh and that Oyster Perpetual Datejust Rolex or that Chopard watch with the dancing diamonds? A Tumi suitcase set, perhaps?

It’s so interesting that only a year or so ago, I have spent money on frivolous things and really enjoyed every minute of it! But for the past year, I have made a conscious choice to do one thing: TO INVEST IN MYSELF… By investing in myself, I know that I can go back to the things I love acquiring and what’s more is that I will able to continue to give more and continue to make a difference in people’s lives! I am proud to say that at a time when we didn’t have enough money, giving was something we never cut back on… it was a priority in our lives! Even our accountant couldn’t really understand that… We understand the Law Of Reaping and Sowing… if you want to be able to give huge amounts of money later, you need to start giving small amounts NOW!

So, I didn’t get any of those things I have mentioned which normally would have been on this year’s list. You’re probably wondering what took their place on my Christmas list? Well, here they are:

1) Joel Bauer’s Persuasion Power System: $2,997
2) Tracy Repchuk’s Millionaire Mastermind – $4,000
3) Coaching Cognition by Renegade Professional – $1,495
4) Jorge Bueno’s Funding Your Passion Business Codex – $397
5) New Macbook Pro +++ – $2,200
6) Internet Marketers’ Carribean Cruise – $2,000
7) Russell Brunson’s MicroContinuity – $ 600
8) Raymond Aaron’s Monthly Mentor – $2,600
TOTAL: $16,289

These expenses are just in the last few months… this doesn’t include the many trips and events I attended and the ongoing community memberships I have– Traffic Geyser, Braveheart Women, etc. Not to mention I already own practically all of Mike Dillard’s products and am an ongoing member of the Association of Better Networker.

So, what’s my point in all these? People come to me and ask me all the time – “Wow Emma, you’re so lucky… people and leaders are drawn to you… how do you do that?” Well, I guess the answer is simple: I CHOSE TO CONTINUE TO INVEST IN MYSELF because by doing so, I am investing in my business and it shows that I proactively take action. If you honestly believe that “You are the brand” (which I was so blessed to have learned from Mike Dillard early on), you will stop and think and make wise choices on how to spend your money. By investing in myself, I am investing in my long term success… the fancy stuff can wait because ultimately I will have them all! I just chose to delay instant gratification for long term gain!

Do you have to spend as much to get the same results? Absolutely not! We all are at different stages in our personal and business lives. Only you would know what your needs are.

The reality is that when you have limited resources, you need to be able to choose which ones will grow your brand and your business. If you noticed, I invested in Systems and Coaches… everyone needs a coach! A coach needs a coach… every successful person has a coach or a mentor.

If you don’t have one, find one quick! I happen to have a video sharing who my Mentors are and you’re all welcome to check all of them out! www.TheRelationalMarketer.com/Mentors

So now I ask you… what’s on your Christmas list?

Perhaps it’s time to re-think where you’ll spend your resources and invest in You, Inc. instead…

Cheering You On To Your Success!

Emma Tiebens

What’s Your Excuse? Jake Doesn’t Have One…

By Emma on November 29, 2009 2 Comments

Thank you, Don Sewell for sharing this inspirational ESPN video of an incredible young man, our beloved Jake Olson. Our family goes to the same church and school as The Olsons and while we we are not necessarily close family friends, we do know the family and we’ve seen these events unfold thru our mutual friends and our school Principal Art Blietz. Jake is THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL PERSON I have ever met!

This video tells the story so I don’t have to repeat it… I am sharing this because when I watched this video, after the tears and prayers, I realized that this young man didn’t allow fear or excuse get in the way of living his life. That by doing so, I know that he has chosen to live his God given purpose and to use his life to encourage and inspire people along the way…

How about you? What is your purpose? What gets you out of bed each morning with sheer excitement of what the day brings? When your purpose is clear, commitment happens and the only way that will stop you are FEAR AND EXCUSES.

Jake Olson didn’t let those get in the way! How about you… what’s your excuse? What are you afraid of? Maybe it’s time to realize that F.E.A.R. truly is False Evidence Appearing Real and like Excuses, it shouldn’t exist…

Watch this and forward this to your family and friends to inspire them too!

Inspired By Ann Sieg… What Will Your Legacy Be?

Happy Thanksgiving!  It’s 3:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day and I was awaken by an overwhelming sense of gratitude that I decided to write a Blogpost about it. Ironically, as I looked through my email,  I came across a video blog of one of my favorite and trusted industry leaders, Ann Sieg.

I’ve been very blessed to have met Ann Sieg and her awesome Executive Assistant Candace Hogan, when my good friend Jerry Chen scheduled their interview at our home.  What a real treat that was to spend an entire day with Ann, Candace and Jerry!  I can’t wait for you all to watch their interview – you will see a side of Ann Sieg you have never seen before!  Like Ann, I am a wife, mother and an entrepreneur whose passion is to empower entrepreneurs globally.  When I watched her video blog post earlier, I couldn’t help not share my thoughts as inspired by her message.

I thank Ann for her transparency and for her willingness in not only sharing her beliefs with the world but her passion in making sure that people are educated enough to enable them to exercise having choices!

Her heritage is so rich! Her great, great grandfather was imprisoned from exercising his beliefs which ultimately shaped what Ann has become today.  I admire her desire to honor the legacy of generations before her! After seeing her video, it has become clearer why her and her teachings have always resonated with my spirit!

Like Ann, my success is definitely not measured by money alone, however, I firmly believe that money enables us to do tons of good in the world! That’s the reason I do what I do to encourage, enlighten and empower entrepreneurs. Success for me boils down to this simple question which is the basis for why I founded “The Relational Marketer” – it’s the question: “Whose Life Is Now Better Because Of Yours”?

Everyday, I well up from an overwhelming gratitude to God who has been so good to me! Even if I don’t necessarily have EVERYTHING I have, the fact is I have more than enough! I have an amazingly loving and supportive family who encourages me to act upon opportunities to be, do and give more! I am grateful for the FREEDOM to have choices, to be in this country where opportunities abound! I am grateful for having access to amazing Mentors such as Joel Bauer, Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, Mike Klingler, Dani Johnson,Tracy Repchuk which has now enabled me to have a platform to be able to help change many people’s lives in a global sense!

As a young girl in the Philippines, it was reading which has inspired me to realize that there is a bigger and abetter wolrd outside my little town… it was reading that has allowed me to see the infinite possibilities of what I can become. I support our public library here in Huntington Beach and part of my vision is to be able to put a public library in many small towns in the Philippines so that many children will be given the same opportunity about reading as I have!

The legacy I want to leave behind is simple… to have people I care most about – and those who choose to be mentored by me – all allocated for financially with income producing assets – including intellectual properties and businesses – that will encompass generations upon generations.

More importantly, I want to leave a legacy of encouraging them to have a personal relationship with God and His beloved son Jesus – who has plucked me out from a teeny tiny unheard of small town in the Philippines and elevates me to a leadership position that enables me to positively impact thousands of lives!  A legacy of helping people believe that they are called for a Higher Purpose and their lives mean more than what their minds can comprehend – I want to leave a legacy full of HOPE and LOVE!

What about you? What legacy will you leave behind?  What actions are you taking right this moment to make sure that your life does count for something?

The Challenge Begins… Where The Rubber Meets The Road!

By Emma on November 16, 2009 No Comments

Now that I have been so blessed to be Mentored by one of the BEST Marketers in the world – Joel Bauer –  and are finally being coached by him, I am now beginning to really feel a kind of mixed emotions – that is quite similar to that of birthing pains.  I am sure most man won’t be able to relate to that – or maybe there is a better term to describe that feeling for them.  However right now, I am experiencing a combination of excitement, ambivalence, fear, overwhelm, inadequacy, hope and many other feelings all rolled into one!  As I type this blog post, I have butterflies in my stomach and am not sure whether it’s because it’s a bit chilly in my office, or perhaps I drank one too many cups of coffee today.  I am just trying to be funny…

Truthfully, I know that this unexplainable ambivalence is due to the fact that I am staying accountable and this is now the real world…  PRODUCT CREATION which means stepping out in faith and really digging into your soul on what is that part of your heart and your wisdom you can impart to the world that will make someone’s life better.   The thought of knowing that I have accumulated much knowledge and it’s now time to share that – and get paid for it – is something that I needed to really fully understand.

Many of you who know me by now, realize that I LOVE helping… I will give all my knowledge for free if given the chance… I will mentor and coach for free, simply because that’s what I love to do!  However, having mentored by the best of the best in the world, I know that by doing so, I am doing a disservice to the world because I stop the flow of abundance!  Not to mention that I would be acting irresponsibly since I do have a family who sacrifices time away from me everytime I give my time away for free.  Not only that… I have financial responsibilities to my family and to the causes I have chosen to help and by not choosing to monetize my knowledge, they too get robbed of the benefits.

So, today I have taken the first step to creating my product… it’s going to be something that will definitely “Encourage, Enlighten and Empower Entrepreneurs”!  I know I will go through many trial and errors as I “birth” this product and at this very moment, I am making a conscious choice focus the next 3 months to create, market and finally launch it!  Stay tuned… the fun has just begun!!!

Stay tuned

The Result Of My 14-Day Challenge… Joel Bauer’s Own Testimonial About Me!

By Emma on November 13, 2009 No Comments

My life had a complete transformation in the past 3 weeks, eversince I met Joel Bauer at Passion 2 Profit. Thanks to my friend Moriah Diamond who gave me 1 of the VIP tickets that she had for the event.

What did Joel and that event do for me? It reminded me of the deeper reason on why I do what I do… I am passionate about seeing entrepreneurs succeed! I feel a huge sense of responsibility to encourage them and equip them with the skills and the tools to succeed but I felt like I need to learn more before my message can be heard loud and clear!

Joel Bauer has made me realize the gift of “heartsuasion” – that when you come from a place of genuinely helping people, what you have inside is good enough!

That event opened a new and bigger chapter in my life – because of that, Joel Bauer took notice of me and invited me to participate in his LIVE product shoot at Palm Springs Studios together wtih Jorge Bueno, another Master Marketer. On top of that, Joel created this very encouraging testmionial about me! Such testimonials from Joel are rather rare!

So what’s next? I am finally creating my own product – something that I know will help entrepreneurs achieve success via an effective, profitable and powerful online presence! I will teach them to be easily understood and to build powerful relationships they didn’t think possible before!

I

The Ultimate Complement… Barry O. Canada’s Video!

By Emma on October 23, 2009 2 Comments

I woke up this morning and what greeted me was this video on my Facebook Wall, entitled “The Relational Marketer Will Soon Become The Persuasion Marketer” and it’s from my good friend, Barry O. Canada. Mind you, Barry and I never met in person but somehow we connected via Facebook and he’s one I truly believe whom I know will succeed in this industry. He has great leadership, knows the value of building relationships first and he has a clear vision of where he’s heading.

This video is one of the ultimate complements I have ever received! Barry has managed to gather my posts and conversations with him and some other Facebook and Twitter friends as I go through my 2-Week Challenge of Joel Bauer’s Passion 2 Profit System.

Thank you Barry for the honor and for taking the time and talent to create this video just for me… you are beyond amazing and I’m sincerely grateful! God bless you and your family always…

Thank You, Thom Ceglar – Our Trusted CPA!

Tax season just ended – well, for most people it has ended 6 months ago in April but 2008 has been one of those years where we were most challenged financially.

We made a conscious decision to cash out some of our 401 K to pay off some consumer debts. Most financial planners would have disagreed with our decision but after declaring a “War On Debt” and choosing to no longer be slaves to debt, we made the move. Yes, there were massive penalties we knew we would have to pay!

We did what we could to prolong the “agony” so we kept on filing for an extension until we couldn’t any longer. So, on October 15, 2009 after diligently preparing our documents, I finalized the results with our trusted Tax Advisor, Thom Ceglar, CPA.

He gave me the sum of what we needed to pay and while it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be, it was still a not so good news. However, I do believe in paying my dues so I asked Thom what type of installment terms are available to us. We finalized the numbers and I started driving to his office so I can sign the paperwork for submission.

I have barely left our house when I received a most wonderful phone call from Thom! He told me that something “miraculous” happened and that after he entered the figures on the computer, he found out that we had some losses that we are able to carry forward from years past only because of one thing we did on the same year – selling one of our investment properties! This was information neither of us realized until actual numbers were entered in his software!

I received the best news ever – not only did we not have to play any installment payments, we even got a refund!

Who says miracles don’t happen anymore? I have always said that “God’s timing is ALWAYS perfect!” and in this case, it’s as perfect as perfect can be!

Thank you Thom Ceglar and Nathan for your diligence and genuine care for your clients! We are truly grateful!!!

Thank You, That MLM Beat For The Top 50 MLM Blogs!

By Emma on October 21, 2009 3 Comments

Have you ever felt as if as though the “planets are all lined up” perfectly and every day you get one amazing news after another? Well, this past week has been like one of those weeks for me. Miracles upon miracles started happening and while I am rather specific of what I pray about, I also get a lot of unexpected but highly welcome and positive twist and turns!

On Monday, October 12, 2009, I received a surprise email from a gentleman named George Fourie asking me if I could look over the mini-bio they have created for me as my blurb for my www.TheRelationalMarketer.com. He told me that my Blog – The Relational Marketer – made it to the list of one amonth the top 50 MLM Blogs they will be featuring on their own Blog – That MLM Beat.

The next day, George emailed me again and he said that the Blog Post on the Top 50 MLM Blog is now posted so I immediately went to That MLM Blog and I was flabbergasted with what I saw! I was in complete shock when I saw who else made it on that list! Most of them are my Mentors, Coaches and people I totally looked up to – Mike Dillard, Mike Klingler, Raymond Fong, Fernando Ceballos, Brian Fanale, Diane Hochman, Jay Kubassek, Jaz Lai, Jerry Chen, Jim Yaghi, Jonathan Budd, Malika Duke, Melani Milletics, Rod Nichols, Todd Falcone and Randy Gage! These are incredible men and women who have truly paved the way for network marketers and home business owners to succeed in this industry using non-traditional means – these are leaders who were significantly ahead of their time! I am still amazed at how my Blog made it on that list but I am so not complaining! I am beyond honored!!!

In case you’re wondering what the standards were in their Top 50 MLM Blog selection process, here is an excerpt from that Blog post by George Fourie – Founder of www.ThatMLMBeat.com

Network Marketing Blogs have definitely raised the bar in 2009.

It’s about time that we give praise and credit to the Network Marketers out there who spend long, passionate hours, day in and day out to deliver quality content and generously share their leadership and expertise week after week on their MLM blogs.

After reading hundreds of blogs, putting Google Reader to the test by monitoring 294 RSS Feeds and searching through all corners of Social Media sites and search engines, we proudly present to you the Top 50 MLM blogs.

The criteria we used to base the Top 50, the ‘cool kids’ of MLM blogging, are:

Quality, original content that focuses on teaching and adding value to the industry
Updated frequently with the latest post no more than one month old
Alexa ranking and page rank
Industry experience and leadership
Content not focused on a particular network marketing company or opportunity”

A HEAP OF THANKS TO GEORGE FOURIE!!!   IF YOU WANT TO SEE FOR YOURSELF THE TOP 50 MLM BlOGS ON THAT LIST, PLEASE GO TO:
