"Sinbad Sailed the 7 Seas, I Soared Through the 7 Cs"
A month or so ago, I posted a survey in my beloved The Relational Marketers Group
on Facebook. I asked them this question:
“Which Areas Would You Be Interested In Learning More From at my LIVE
MeetUps?”
I gave them 13 choices and they were encouraged to mix and match and
prioritize. Below is the result of that survey:

Our group has grown since this survey and these results will probably change. I do find it
interesting that the above results are based on the opinion of the most interactive
members of the group and I want to thank them so much for their participation, please find
their names and their websites on the bottom of this post.
What I found interesting is that NONE of them needed help with “Overcoming the Fear of Video” and only 1 checked “Overcoming Fear of Visibility”.
I was right on with my expectation that to have a “Blueprint On How To Put Things Together Is VERY Important but was quite impressed when “Info-Product Creation” also came up as a top priority.
However, I was pleasantly surprised that “Branding” came up as THE TOP PRIORITY for
this group! This is so exciting for me because this is what I am passionate about! To

In 2001, my husband and I attended our very first live 2-day Personal Development seminar at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas and it was called “Passion, Profit and Power” by a highly celebrated Speaker and Trainer. What made this a milestone event was the fact that this was the first time we actually paid thousands of dollars to attend this 2-day event which ultimately led to investing into a 180 day Mentorship.
This event 10 years ago was truly life changing for Gary and I. We came home refreshed, optimistic and having a different perspective about life after that weekend.

Why do I speak so highly of Michael?

Yesterday, as I contemplated on the many Mentors who have guided and continue to guide me in my path to master my specialized skills, I realized that one of my passions is to create “Success Stories“. There is no greater joy than for me to witness the metamorphosis of someone I absolutely believe in, care for and have massive respect for.
THE START OF A BEAUTIFUL RELATIONSHIP…
In March, I spoke Marketing Funnel Mastery LIVE Event, hosted by one of my beloved friends and Mentors, Mike Klingler. I feel so blessed to have been able to also be the Funnel Facilitator for a special table where Kathy Cabarcas sat. After my short presentation, Kathy volunteered to give me a testimonial of how my talk has inspired her and here’s what she said:
I have many “Rave Review” videos from friends whom I have given complimentary sessions to and I absolutely appreciate each and every one of them! I know for a fact that most people are not comfortable being on video and the fact that some of them went out of their way to send me a video warms my heart. It means that I have truly helped them get over a hump, a challenge or simply experienced an epiphany!
Today, I want to celebrate one of my clients whom I absolutely love working with from the very beginning – The Fearless Coach herself, Kathy Cabarcas. She’s a woman who is incredibly committed and she knows the path she’s going and knows the key team players she needs to make her vision a reality. We met at a live event and after I gave her some invaluable complimentary advice, she contacted me afterwards and knew that I was the person who would be able to truly help her clarify her branding message and bring that message out to the world, elegantly and eloquently!
I remember I was vacationing at the Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas with my family and she was signing up for one of my Consulting Programs and there were some technical issues with the shopping cart that would frustrate anyone! I could have easily lost her as a client right there and then but instead, she called me and she jokingly said: “Okay, I have never had to chase someone to pay them!” I laughed so hard but also realized that this woman is determined and that I will accept her as a client and that I will give her so much more than what she’ll pay for!
Our very first session was short of amazing. There’s nothing I love more, than being able to really understand the person behind the brand. It’s almost like being a detective, a therapist, an artist and a friend rolled into one. I am very comfortable wearing many hats. My experience as a banker, flight attendant and jewelry designer enables me to utilize specific skills to be in the moment bring out the best in my clients.
THE DISCOVERY PROCESS…
As we uncovered Kathy’s vision and mission, they became clearer and more solid for her. She became more engaged emotionally, physically and spiritually. With every session came more clarity and with more clarity she became more and more unstoppable!
I love working with Kathy because she’s passionate, driven, purposeful, talented, tuned-in and yes highly coachable! That’s why I know she’s an amazing coach because she knows and understands that a Coach/Client relationship works best when there is mutual respect and commitment to the positive outcome of such a relationship.
On our third session, Kathy and I started to formulate the essence of her brand. Interestingly enough, what she envisioned as the main focus of her brand wasn’t as powerful as what we came up with after 2 sessions. My process starts with a very powerful questionnaire that when answered diligently will reflect where the focus of your brand should be. Kathy masterfully answered them because she was very clear about her vision and she is emotionally engaged by them!
Immediately after that, Kathy was able to now create her own DVD/Video Series – “FEAR Destroyer Strategy – How To Go From Fearful to Fearless To Freedom”! The process was effortless for her because then she was clear on exactly what she wants to offer the world and when blended with the passion to share that message out to a greater audience, she was able to create what would have normally taken months, took her a few days to accomplish!
My sessions with my clients don’t end when we hang up the phone… I take more time afterwards to put myself in my clients shoes, then put myself in my clients’ clients. This right here is I know what sets me apart from most Branding Consultants. I take every client in as if they are my family and it’s as if I am part owner of their business!

About 2 years ago, I met my friends Jorge Bueno and MaryAnne Morcos. Happy Summer! I trust you are enjoying this amazing
time of the year with family and friends!
I don’t know about you but summer has always been a time when I am tempted
to slow down, kick back and cut back on my productivity. However, every time I do this, I find myself playing struggling to play catch up in the fall, when businesses are jumpstarting back up for the holidays.
It dawned on me…If I am experiencing this, then perhaps you just might
be experiencing it too! You know what I mean… Temptation to limit your working hours to make time for:
1. Beach parties
2. Barbeques
3. Exotic Trips
4. Cruises
5. Camping
6. Hiking
7. Shopping
8. Poolside Lounging

I just perused Chris Brogan’s eBook “Blog Topics” and oh my goodness… he gave so much in this eBook!
Most of my subscribers and friends know that I LOVE Chris Brogan and that his book “Trust Agents” was part of the reason I pursued Relational Marketing.
What really struck me with Chris is no matter how huge he is in the business and marketing world, he remains accessible via Twitter, Facebook and on his personal blog ChrisBrogan.com (BTW, I was so proud that on his recent blog, he had my post “Who Encourages The Encourager” as a special mention.)
Meeting Chris Brogan LIVE
I was so thrilled to have finally met him when he came here to Orange County at an event hosted by Bryan Elliott, Founder of LinkedOC who by the way is having another amazing event coming up tomorrow and his special guest is no less than Mr. “Crush It”, Gary Veynerchuk himself!
When I met Chris at the Oakley Headquarters, I have to admit, I was starstruck… I normally don’t get start struck but Chris has an awe-inspiring presence about him. What’s really cool is that the day before the event, I just sent Chris a tweet to introduce myself and let him know I was looking forward to meeting him and surprisingly, he ENGAGED! He even asked about my family and how both our sons love Lego Mini-figs and I told him one day, Garrett will have his own LegoKid Online blog.
When I finally met him, I had my own copy of his book “Trust Agents“ ready for him to sign… As I stood in line to meet him and have my book signed, I saw my awesome friend, Ricardo “Ribeezie” Bueno. Such a small world as I didn’t know Chris knew Ricardo, who actually personally introduced me to Chris!
What’s even funnier is this was what Chris wrote on my book:
What a “Relational Marketer” he truly was! He practices what he preaches and he brings people together… Thanks for the instant “credibility by association” Ribeezie!
Chris was on fire that night! He had the crowd roaring from the “amphitheater” style room with his funny but profound presentation, which I took copious notes of.
Needless to say, I met up with old friends and met new friends that night – Coach Deb Micek, Louis Howes, Sven Johnston, Carolyn Himes, Jane Saunders and Ashley Cline to name a few. Chris had a crowd of people who want to talk to him and he was so engaging that we all had to be kicked out of the Oakley headquarters that night as we didn’t want to leave!

Dictionary.com defines influence as: “the capacity or power of persons or things to be a compelling force on or produce effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others.
In other words, to have influence is to become someone who creates the “ripple effect” in the lives and situations of those around him.
Like leadership, people are not born leaders nor influencers. While some are absolutely gifted with magnetism, or were blessed to grow up being surrounded by charming role models they can emulate, some of us have to learn it through life.

I never thought of myself as an Influencer. Growing up, I’ve been described as “charming” but never beautiful, pretty nor attractive. Neither intelligent, nor eloquent. I was more shy, unassuming and yes, “charming”…
However, one thing that was certain throughout my life was my desire to help and inspire. I have always had the heart for the underdog and underprivileged.
I never really aspired for leadership but I looking back, my genuine desire to make a difference has always positioned me to influential and leadership roles and I remember always be voted as Class President or the President of Girl Scouts or something.
And now, as I humbly yet boldly look at influence I have personally gained in the last 2 years, I am in awe as to how it all happened…
How could a young girl, born and raised in a teeny tiny small town in the Philippines, grow up to be in a position to help inspire thousands of people globally thorough my blog posts and my online presence?
How am I now able to translate that influence to help entrepreneurs – authors, speakers, professionals – create profitable marketing campaigns and branding that is Visible, Influential and Profitable?
Have you ever wondered…
How could someone like Mother Teresa – born from very humble beginnings as Gonxha (Agnes) Bojaxhiu in Skopje, Yugoslavia, on August 27, 1910, grew up very quiet and shy, became one of the most influential people in the world?
How did Robert Kiyosaki, best-selling Author of the “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” series turn his life around from almost being homeless living in his car, to the most influential financial educator of our time???
Most leaders we now adore and emulate come from nothing…. unless you’re Donald Trump, who was born with the proverbial silver spoon – most of us were born without the gift of influence.
How does one gain influence?
Well, from personal experience and interviewing some of my highly influential peers, gaining influence starts from this simple fact:
“You are who you think you are… your thoughts determine your actions and your actions ultimately bring you influence or the lack of it.”
Influence can probably be bought with money but why not gain it naturally?
I also know that influence is a gift… an anointing from God. I believe in my heart that I was given that gift when I made a conscious decision to ask for it and through the many prayers of caring people over my life. I know that God has gifted me with influence that I can use for the greater good of those who have been entrusted in my care and to those I have yet to meet.
That’s it… plain and simple…
We were not born with influence but it’s something we can ask for in prayer or consciously seek and learn.
So, it might be time to ask yourself…
Are you a winner, or a whiner?
Are you an original or are you a copy?
Are you a go-giver or a go-taker?
What can influence do for you?
A LOT! Just like relationships, influence is a currency… one that enables you to achieve the achievable!
Influence brings:
1) Better relationships
2) New clients
3) Heightened respect
4) Self-esteem
5) Celebrity status
6) Profitable joint-ventures
7) Rewarding opportunities
Leadership
9) Heroism
10) Ability to change lives positively impacting the world around you.
